Soul Khan Performing in Montreal on January 25th

When Soul Khan announced his retirement from battle rap in late 2010, many fans were dissappointed as only a handful of battle rappers successfully moved into the music business. Since then, he has proved may wrong with a large display of musical projects, one album and four EPs to be exact, and will be performing in Montreal on January 25th.

Former LA resident who moved to Brooklyn a few years ago, he joined Brown Bag All Stars while working with them at Fat Beats New York before it shut down. The group has been prolific, bringing clever punchlines over jazzy samples, which has caught the attention of heavyweights like DJ Premier.

Soul Like Khan was part of Soul Khan’s debut album and has his signature soulful sound with an uplifting introspective message:
