Orphan – Mount Rushmore [video] + Logan Ave. [mixtape]

Orphan (formerly known as DZO The Collegian) writes a piece of presidential history with his single Mount Rushmore, the first off his new mixtape Logan Ave. It is available for free download on Hot New Hip Hop.

Lots of shots were taken in this party video directed by RedgyFilms, Elementality’s man behind the camera.

Orphan fine tuned his approach from The Platform, his previous effort, and brings consistently catchy flows over some hard thumping instrumentals suitable for the car or the party. There’s also a couple of spaced-out tracks for a more mellow chilling session. Mount Rushmore isn’t the only reference to US presidents, he also refers to the Kennedy assassination in one of his choruses: “Rolling up with my head blown, that’s that JFK”.
