New MTL Beat Tapes: High Klassified // Vincent Pryce

Montréal producer High Klassified just dropped “Flexury”, a collection of 7 instrumental headphone bangers. No lyrics, just deep bass, down-tempo trap with a spacey bounce. The beats are highly textured and have replay value whether you wanna spit some game or just phase out. Just click on the image to download on Bandcamp (name your price):

If you enjoyed this beat tape, we sure hope you didn’t miss Murderface’s Vincent Pryce AKA Teknition’s Trapped In The Dark EP, released in late September.  Another great heavy trap beat tape to bump with Halloween parties just around the corner.

Both EPs are a mix of dirty trap blended with Montréal-bred Piu Piu, a beatmaking school of thought that favours a hands-on approach with experimentation. Its name comes from the lasers you can hear on some tracks by Flying Lotus, Dibiase and other producers who got inspiration from J Dilla. Piu Piu heads gravitate around the staple gathering Artbeat Montréal where some of the best beatmakers from Montréal and around the world bring out their machines and MPCs and bring the party to you.

The beats are captivating, so I guess we can call them “Trapiu”!
