Brooklyn rapper Megadon

Megadon – Royalty [Official Video]

Donald Robinson Cole, aka Megadon, just dropped the official video for the song “Royalty”, a timely release for Black History Month. The lyrics introduce the listener to some of the most outspoken and inventive Black leaders of all time, from Marcus Garvey to Fred Douglas. There is no shortage of positive Black role models throughout History, unfortunately it is a story left mostly untold.

Megadon is originally from Montreal but he moved to Brooklyn, NY in 2007. The move allowed him to connect with some heavyweights, and he has been producing video clips and recording alongside the likes of Shabaam Sahdeek, Large Professor and Tragedy Khadafi.

Megadon takes the DIY work ethic seriously: he writes, performs, produces, mixes, masters, films and edits his own projects. He is autonomous from A to Z in the production process. He is currently working on his solo album and a few collaboration projects with Shabaam Sahdeeq, Tragedy Khadafi and RustyJuxx.
