La Rue Music Samples Pink Floyd on “Screw Juice” EP
Ever wondered what Pink Floyd would sound like if they had come of age today? Though I don’t think they would settle for a genre as formulaic as trap, the classic rock supergroup’s slow-paced experimental sounds blend pretty well over a downtempo 808 with snare rolls. This is what La Rue Music decided to bring to the table on his recent Screw Juice EP, and he succeeds at making the samples sound like bad-ass dark trap melodies. The debut single Thunderball features up and coming rappers Jei Bandit and Furst. The five other tracks on the record are instrumental.
