FM Hi Low – More than a pretty face

There are many things out there to help compensate for the lack of sun right now. While some opt for multi-vitamins to curb their natural tendency to want to hibernate, I am more the type to replenish my feel-good music library. To each his own medicine.

MTL reggae fusion band FM Hi Low has had a great couple of years doing constant shows in Montréal and touring whenever they have the chance. They bring us their first video clip recorded in Jamaica and Montréal for “More than a pretty face”, just released a couple of weeks ago. The band spearheaded by Fraser MacDougall is known for its colourful blend of roots reggae with folk, soul and hip-hop influences while bringing a conscious message.

This song features Jamaican singer/rapper Jutah Rhymes. This song is the culmination of a life-changing trip to Jamaica, where Fraser had the chance to record the song at CHOP CHOP Productions in Negril. This is the first single off FM Hi Low’s upcoming album, to be released sometime in 2013. We foresee much bigger things to come as the band gains momentum and keeps on connecting with different communities inside and outside of Montréal.
