Black Dave’s Take It Back Pays Homage to 1995 movie KIDS [Video]

Pro skater turned rapper Black Dave pays homage to the 1995 movie KIDS for the second single off his mixtape “Black Bart” which dropped on September 17th. The video is a follow-up to his first single “Muthafuck My Enemies” and premiered on Billboard.

The video sets off with a wide shot of the Big Apple and brings a 90’s summer vibe with cameos and everything that made that era so unique. This one has a “day in the life” narrative and ends with the self-proclaimed “Black Bart” getting arrested. Crazy flows & kickflips in this one.

Leo Fitzpatrick and Pete Bici, who played skaters in the original movie, are portrayed as plainclothes policemen, a metaphorical passing of the torch to NYC’s newer generation of skaters.

The director behind this clip  is Jason Ano, also known for directing A$AP Rocky’s debut single “Purple Swag”.
