Elementality & Legz Crew Present: Big Reunion Event on Friday

This Friday, January 31st, Elementality and Legz Crew proudly present the long-awaited event Big Reunion at TRH Bar, better known as Trash Bar, at 9pm.

Big Reunion will bring together DJs, bboys & bgirls, emcees, and with a crowd coming from all over Montreal, East & West.

DJ Fatsak, resident dj at Blue Dog Motel on Wednesdays and at TRH Bar on Fridays, and DJ Benny Lava will be on the 1’s and 2’s to bring to you the dopest, funkiest & freshest hiphop sounds.

The night will start off with two rap performances from local emcees who’ve been releasing dope material lately.

The Shadow Hunters, a NDG based rap crew bringing the raw & real in Spanish and in English, including DiabloPablo, Conde Artifex, Wicho, Mimo, Jazor, Pinto, Brown Bonez, Yos-B & Grifos from Alquimia Verbal and Paranoize from Agua Negra. Elementality collaborator Osti One from the K6A visual art & rap collective, known for its constant participation in WordUp! Battles and in the ArtBeat/ PiuPiu beat scene, will set fire to the vibe with lyrical skillz and 1080p HD Visions.

The night will be topped off with a 1 vs 1 bboy/ bgirl battle, hosted by Dr.Step and Boogie V, that will lead to a cash prize of 150$ and to  fresh clothing from SUB- V. The battle won’t be a simple, regular 1 on 1 battle. Three judges will determine the freshest and most skilled dancer: Omegatron from Taktikal Crew, Tiger from Black Jungle and Bourrik from Legz Crew. There will be creative concepts and surprises for the competitors.

The main reason why we are all gathering is to celebrate DKC Freeze‘s anniversary. Since the early 80’s, he’s dedicated his life to street dance. Starting with the New Energy crew and developing his skills in different styles such as bboyin’, poppin’ and lockin’. Until now, he’s never stopped sharing his knowledge to the world through his dancing and community life, and he is not close to quitting. He’s reached an age of wisdom but he’s still dropping some dope moves on the floor. We gather on Friday night with friends, djs, dancers, emcees and everyone who’s down to come party and chill on a funky 90’s vibe. You are all more than welcome!

The bar is located 3699 Saint-Laurent near Avenue des Pins, near Mont-Royal or Sherbrooke metro. There’s a 5$ cover for dancers competing in the battle and 7$ for the public. TRH bar has been a place of reunion for local skaters, since there is a skating ”bowl” and a full pipe on the second floor, giving a fresh underground vibe to the venue.
